This Sunday I have visited with some friends the cathedral of Justo Gallego Martinez since a visit from London came and the museums of Madrid were closed because of San Isidro parties.
If someone wants to go, the address is:
Antonio Gaudí, 1 St. (curious, no?) in Mejorada del Campo, 20 minutes from Madrid, Spain.
It is incredible how an only man without architecture studies has been able to self built all that in only 40 years. There are columns that are bent, the bricks are placed as the teeth of Ronaldinho... but even this way it seems quite hard.
Also impresses to see the tools and the materials that he uses. All the forms and the arches are made with padded jetties of concrete, to rise up the materials he uses as pulley a bicycle wheel...
The man was there very happy telling his life to a group of about 100 people. Good, that is a recommended visit.
